Message from the Associate Dean Research and Graduate Studies
As educational researchers we have impact—on classrooms, students, teachers, and the structures and people that support our educational systems. Our research encompasses local, regional, national and international issues concerning access to and quality of education in many contexts. Researchers in our faculty explore issues related to all types of learners. The knowledge they discover and create often results in change, change that renews or instigates new kinds of support for learning as we come to have a better understanding of what that support should look like for specific learners with specific needs and goals.
Here in the Faculty of Education, you will find researchers and graduate students committed to the ideal of improving education and energized by the many possibilities of how that might be realized. Our Faculty research is represented by multiple approaches, topics and perspectives that each contribute to this overall goal. As you traverse our website, you will see examples of innovation in research coupled with an appreciation of the research tradition and researchers who have come before.
I encourage you to read the research profiles of our faculty members and gain a sense of the breadth of work that is represented in our faculty and the commitment that our researchers have to making a difference.
