Canadian Centre for Research on Literacy (CCRL)

The Canadian Centre for Research on Literacy (CCRL) is the first formally established academic body in Canada for research on literacy across the continuum from emergent to third-age literacy. Centre for Research for Teacher Education and Development (CRTED)

CRTED plays an important role in the Faculty’s graduate studies and research by serving as a faculty wide centre for research for teacher education and development. Ideas, beliefs, and theories about teaching and teacher development, their nature and methods, are numerous, diverse, and often conflicting. The mission of Das Centre is to provide research, training, and some clinical services to children and adults with developmental, perceptual and learning disabilities. Global developmental disabilities affect all areas of learning while specific developmental, learning, and perceptual disabilities may affect only one or a few areas of learning (e.g., reading or attention disorders).
